ISEP is delighted to welcome its new Dean, Louis-Joseph Brossollet, who has taken on the role of Director of Education after Dieudonné Abboud.
Louis-Joseph Brossollet has had a double career path for both companies and institutions of higher education and research. An ECP engineer, he obtained a PhD from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta, USA). He returned to France where he worked in start-ups and then in consulting (notably at PwC/IBM Consulting) with the general management of innovative companies of all sizes (including some major current ISEP partners) and institutional clients. He then contributed to the development of the teaching programs of two engineering schools, ESIEA and the University of Technology of Troyes. Before returning to ISEP, he was Director of the Carnot Institute, in charge of industrial partnerships and public policy support, of the IRSTEA public research institute.
The ISEP pedagogical project was first and foremost a human project, alive and dynamic since 1955: it was at first that attracted me to this school. The school pays close attention to the personal development of its students, of course in synergy with high-level scientific and technical education. My experience in research, both in companies and in research institutes, also allows me to appreciate the research effort of ISEP’s research-lecturers. The objective of the School, which I fully subscribe to, is to be able to combine teaching and research, and to stimulate among students the vocations of innovators and entrepreneurs who will contribute to a digital society that brings people closer together instead of move them away from each other.
