Prof. Florence Rossant
Head of research DaSSIP Team
Florence Rossant is currently head of the DASSIP Research Group of the LISITE Laboratory. She holds a HDR (Confirmation of Leading Research Capabilities) from Paris-Descartes University and a PhD in Signal-Image processing from ENST (Télécom ParisTech).
She is specialized in image processing, applied in various application fields, especially in the medical domain. Her main contributions are related to the modeling of a priori knowledge in the segmentation and pattern recognition algorithms. She is a member of the PARIS research team at the Quinze-Vingts Hospital, a team working on high-resolution imaging of the human eye, from acquisition systems to clinical applications. Florence Rossant has contributed to several collaborative research projects supported by public funds, involving industry, universities and research centers, including 2 ANR projects, 2 FUI projects, one RHU project.

Dr. Zakia Kazi-Aoul
DaSSIP Team
Zakia KAZI-AOUL is an associate professor in Computer Science and responsible of the Computer Science teaching domain. She began her career in research by integrating the DEA distributed architecture at the University of Paris XI, Orsay. After a PHD at Telecom ParisTech in the 3S team obtained in 2008, she completed a post-doctorate at Telecom SudParis in the CNRS SAMOVAR laboratory (ACMES team). Her current research activities concern the management of semantic data streams on a large scale. She is also particularly interested in educational innovation, and more recently in collaborative learning.

Prof. Maria Trocan

Maria Trocan received her M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Politehnica University of Bucharest in 2004, the Ph.D. in Signal and Image Processing from Telecom ParisTech in 2007 and the Habilitation to Lead Researches from Pierre & Marie Curie University (Sorbonnne Université) in 2014. In May 2009 she joined ISEP, where between 2011 and 2018 she is responsible of the Signal Processing Program and between March 2018 and January 2023 she is in charge of the Data Science Program. She is the Scientific Integrity referent for ISEP. She was Deputy Editor in Chief for IEEE Open Journal on Circuits and Systems 2018-2021 and is Associate Editor for Springer Journal on Signal, Image and Video Processing etc. In 2014 she has been elected IEEE France Vice-President for Student Activities and IEEE Circuits and Systems Board of Governors member. She has been re-elected as IEEE France Vice-President for Student Activities in 2017, Chair of Technical Activities and Membership Development in 2020 and Vice-President of IEEE French Section in 2023

Dr. Patricia Condes-Cespedes
DaSSIP Team
Patricia Conde Céspedes is an assistant professor at ISEP engineering school and a member of the DaSSIP team of the LISITE Laboratory. Her teaching activities concern data science subjects such as Machine Learning, Probability and Statistics, Algorithmic, etc. She has supervised projects for students coming from prestigious universities such as Stanford University. Previously, she was a postdoctoral researcher at L2TI, University Paris 13. In 2013, she defended her Ph.D. thesis about graph clustering/community detection at Sorbonne University Campus Pierre et Marie Curie. Before her Ph.D., she received a Master degree in statistics and a B.Sc. degree in industrial engineering. She participated in the Big Data analysis projects REQUEST and POLLEN. In Bolivia, her native country, she was awarded the Guido Capra Jemio prize for being the best student of the major. She was also awarded twice by the French Government to get her Master’s degree and her PhD thesis.

Dr. Jérémie Sublime
DaSSIP Team
Jérémie Sublime is an Associate Professor at the ISEP since September 2016, where he is a member of the DaSSIP Team (Data Science, Signal and Image Processing), and the head of the Data Intelligence Major. He is also a full researcher at the LIPN - CNRS UMR 7030, where he is part of the A3 team specialized in Machine Learning.
He got a PhD in Applied Computer Science from AgroParisTech (University Paris-Saclay) in November 2016. he also owns an Engineer Degree in Software engineering & Computer Vision from the EISTI Cergy, as well as a Master’s Degree in Computer and Information Technologies from INHA University in South Korea.

Dr. Ilaria Renna

Ilaria Renna a obtenu d’abord une Licence puis un Master 1 et 2 d’Ingénierie Médicale à l’Université Campus Biomedico de Rome.
Elle a ensuite obtenu un double doctorat à l’Université Sorbonne de Paris (Laboratoire des Systèmes intelligents et de la Robotique) et à l’Université de Gênes (Italian Institut of Technologies) en travaillant dans le domaine de l’Interaction Homme-Machine non-verbale basée sur le geste. Pendant son Post-Doctorat au Laboratoire Structures Formelles du Langage du CNRS, elle a participé à deux projets multidisciplinaires, coordonnant la recherche sur l’analyse et la détection des Langues des Signes. Elle a collaboré aussi avec l’Université du Salento (Italie) pour des études sur la modélisation des maladies infectieuses. Ces intérêts scientifiques sont focalisés sur l’Interaction Homme-Machine, le Computer Science Education et le Traitement des données médicales.

Dr. Nouredine Tamani

I have a double profile: Engineer and Ph.D. I received my Ph.D. degree in computer science from the university of Rennes 1 (France) in 2012. My research activities encompass the following main topics: knowledge representation (DL, DataLog+-, ontologies), inconsistency handling, user preferences and flexible querying, fuzzy sets, fuzzy logics, and decision support systems. Currently, I’m an associate professor in cybersecurity and AI at ISEP (Institut Supérieur d’Electronique de Paris), France. With more than 4 years of research in the field of personal Data Protection and Privacy preservation, my current areas of focus are, but not limited to, digital trust, anomaly detection in IoT based applications for user data protection and user privacy preservation, reasoning under uncertainty for context explanation, and aggregation operators for decision support systems.

Dr. Hélène Urien
DaSSIP Team
I got my PhD degree in signal and image processing at Télécom ParisTech (75) in 2018. The subject focused on segmentation of brain tumors on PET-MR images.
I was then a research engineer in medical image processing and machine learning applied to brain tumor MR images at Neurospin, CEA (91).
I joined ISEP in November 2019, as an associate professor in signal and data processing.
My fields of research include machine learning and image processing applied to medical images.

Dr. Yousra Chabchoub
DaSSIP Team
Yousra Chabchoub is an associate professor at ISEP since September 2010. She is head of the Networks and Telecom teaching domain. Her research interests include data mining, data streams analysis and real-time anomalies detection. She completed her PhD in INRIA, in close collaboration with Orange Labs on the analysis and modelling of IP traffic. Then she joined the BILAB (Business Intelligence LABoratory) in Télécom-ParisTech, where she worked with EDF R&D on the analysis of Linky smart meters data.
She also received her engineering degree from Télécom SudParis, with a specialization in Network’s Services Architectures and her Master’s degree in Networks from Pierre et Marie Curie University.
She significantly contributed to several research projects such as OSCAR (ANR), Waves (FUI) and Bike Sharing Systems (PGMO) and co-supervised 2 PhD students.
